  • Hey guys, (esp. CTP).
I’m enjoying how the podcast has developed over the years, and where things are headed.
Since I’ve been in Europe, I cannot watch some of the podcasts–such as episode 207…
I click on the video and get the following message: Unfortunately, this video is not available in your country [I’m in Germany] because it could contain music from UMG, for which we could no agree on conditions of use with GEMA.
Some quick research shows why GEMA blocks some videos:

(search string: “GEMA blocking videos in Germany”)
Thanks in advance for taking care of that.
    Cheers, y’all !

    • Yeah. i also get the same message on several videos of yours that because it could contain music from UMG, for which we could no agree on conditions of use with GEMA, it won’t play. I am a huge fan of your series. So please do something with this matter.. Thank you for your persistancy on such wonderful contents.

  • Hey
    Enjoyed very much this episode
I understood what is anaerobic and how it can interfere with the strength program, but I still have a question.
Usually the metcon are not like “Fran” (anaerobic workouts)
most often they are 10-14 min hard work with medium or heavy weights, and breaks for breathing, my question is , what kind of workouts are those? Aerobic or still anaerobic?
    many thanks

    • It often depends on the workout and the person b/c everyone is going to get a slightly different response to similar workouts especially if the coach is just programming a generic workout for the general pop w/o energy systems in mind. CrossFit workouts can sometimes go back and forth between predominately being in certain energy systems throughout the workout.

  • Is the use of a HRM a good way to tackle anaerobic workouts? For example yesterday I ran 4 miles. I did 10 sets of 30 second sprints but instead of waiting a time limit before doing the next set I waited until my HR was down to 120 BPM for a minute or so before the next set.
